Keeping it Simple - Slow Down, Be Still, and Learn the Art of Savoring Life. Speaker - Molly Baum

Our annual "Festival of Tables" is held in Fellowship Hall during December.

This is an evening of fun and fellowship for ladies of the church.  Each hostess decorates her table for Christmas and provides dessert for her ladies.  Many times, two people will choose to host a table together.  Guests are welcome.

Activity Groups

Happy Quilters

On Wednesday, from 10 am to 2 pm the Happy Quilters meet in room 204 to learn basic quilting skills and to build new friendships with ladies who are interested in the creative process of quilting. You do not need prior quilting experience to join and you can decide how much time you want to devote to each project.  Non-quilters are welcome to join the group with another type of sewing project.

Allena Coburn is the contact person for this group.  Contact her at 817-466-7454 for more information.

Allena Coburn made a special quilt for Moises, the injured boy our mission team befriended in Belize.  Check out the Mission Blog fpcamissions.blogspot.com for more information about Moises.

Knitting Group

The FPCA Knitters meet together to knit prayer shawls. These shawls are given to those who are going through a difficult time, to show our love and concern for them.  Shawls have been knit by: Marlene Baker, Polly Baugh, Sandy Boice, Elizabeth Harris, Ethyl Johnson, Margaret Kleopfer, Bev Koch, Marge Orr, Judy Poindexter, Dee Uhri, and Natalie Watkins.

The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 1:00 in the parlor.  Anyone who would like to join the knitters is welcome.  Occasionally, when the stockpile of shawls has grown sufficiently, the group will  take some time off from meeting so check the church calendar to verify meeting times or check with Bev Koch, who is the contact person for this group.
