In March the Belize Mission team had a lunch and "slave auction".  Each staff member was "bought" to do some chore and the money raised was used for the mission trip.  Russell Farnell, FPCA music director, was commissioned  by Sandy Thomlinson to create an anthem in honor of her sister, Carol Wilson.  The beautiful anthem , Be Thou My Vision, was sung by the choir in the 11:00 service on November 15.

 

2009 Community Concert Series...

is a gift of the congregation to the Arlington community.  Recognizing that God is the source of love and music, we want to share our space and our friendship with talented musicians and eager listeners of our community.

February 22 - Anthem Brass Ensemble with Robert August, organ - "A Little Night Music"

March 22 Sax & Company Saxophone Ensemble

April 19 Singing Girls of Texas

  

Chancel Choir - leads the congregation in worship during the 11:00 service each Sunday morning.  This choir also sings for special services and concerts during the year.  Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00.  Nursery Care Provided During Rehearsals

Agape Singers  is open to youth in 7th to 12th grades. This choir sings for services periodically through the year, and goes on tour in the summer. "Agape" is the Greek word for love, and this choir is a terrific way to love God through music.

Children’s Choirs meet every Sunday afternoon from September through May. The following choirs are available for children age 4 through 6th grade:

Cherub Choir - Ages 4 and 5; Jo Anne Thomson, Director.  This choir meets from 4:00 to 5:00.

Carol Choir - Kindergarten through Second Grade; Susan Malone, Director;  This choir meets from 4:00 to 5:30, with a break for a light snack.

Crusader Choir - Third through sixth grades; Nesha Morey, Director.  This choir meets from 4:00 to 5:30, with a break for a light snack.

Morning Bells is an adult bell choir that rehearses on Tuesday mornings 11:00-12:00 and is directed by Jo Anne Thomson.

Jubilate Ringers rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:15. This adult bell choir rings for worship services throughout the year.
