rotate teaching responsibilities. This class consists largely of
empty-nesters – single, married and widowed – and has regular fun
outings outside of class as well.
In January this class began a study of the Beatitudes
using John Stotts' book on the subject.
The
Family Living Class works with the Friendship Class to furnish
backpacks for a local grade school. Each week class members buy
food to fill sacks for children who might otherwise have a hungry
weekend. The backpacks are filled at the church on Wednesday or Thursday
and delivered to the children on Friday as they leave school.
