First Presbyterian Church of Arlington

FPCA Library

The church library is open whenever the church is open, so you can come in and check out books any time you are in the church. Or just come in, sit down and read for a while.  Look for the comfy rocking chair!

There are books to help you learn, to entertain you, to comfort you.  There are boks for children and adults of all ages.  We have a selection of fiction for children and a few fiction offerings for adults.  There are tapes and videos you can just take home and return without going through the check-out procedure. There is a collection of books in memory of Janie Wessler, who was our Music leader for a long time.

You may donate a book to the library, in honor or in memory of someone.  Or just donate a book you would like to share with others.  Gently used books are acceptable.

When you find a book you want to take home, you just need to take the card from the pocket, write your name on the card, stamp in the date, and place the card in the box on the desk.  There is a box right there where you can put the books you return.  There is no real time limit on checkouts, but you should keep in mind that someone else might need that book, so return it as soon as you finish with it.

There is always the need for people to be library helpers.  These people are not necessarily trained librarians but people  who do various library-related tasks, to keep our library well stocked and tidy.  If you are interested in this ministry, call Sandy Thomlinson, 817-460-8050 or email at sandy@larkwebdesign.com.
